I don't know if they are unrealistic. Jimmer should be on the short list, so unless he flops, he will be on an all-American team.

        For Barnes or for Jimmer?

I don't know what the unrealistic expectations would be. Jimmer's really good. He's going to make 60% of his wide open 3's, 30% of the rest of his 3's, and get to the lane just about any time he wants to with varied success depending on how our bigs do and how friendly the ref's are. As far as the impact on the season and how far we go in the tournament, we need other guys to step up.

I'm not referring strictly to Jimmer's performance, but BYU's as well.

I think he deserves the accolades. He is a unique player. He also has a solid supporting cast around him. I wouldn't be surprised to see this be an epic season. Unfortunately, I also wouldn't be surprised to see us fall on our faces since we lost two starters and a third is AWOL because of his recent marriage.

Whare are unrealistic expectations for BYU basketball fans?

I would venture that most expect BYU to make it to the tournament and hope to win a first round game. Is that unrealistic?

I haven't heard anyone talk about an Elite 8 or Final Four run.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

KD noted in his other thread that Hartsock was married recently and hasn't looked the same on the court since.

It seems realistic to expect that BYU will be as good this year as last, give or take a few games in either direction. I would about guarantee a spot in the big dance, and put the over/under at 1 win with a range of possibility between 0 and 3.
