LOL, Ahmed. I’m not sure he has the highest basketball IQ in the world.

I hate the way BYU sets screens and runs off screens. We don’t even hold the screen at all. The screen is set for only a millisecond and then we release. Heck, sometimes the screen releases before the defensive guy even gets there - might as well not even bother to screen in that case.

Totally agree. I hate our boring NBA offense and our lazy NBA defense. Rob is a phenomenal player but until he (1) decides defense is kind of important and (2) looks to pass more than score we will go nowhere.Originally posted by Joe Public View Post1) AJ is the superstar, but this team goes only as far as RW3 takes it.
2) The defense is abysmal.
Its hard to put #2 on Rob when he is averaging 5 assists and no one outside of Richie can hit an open shot. But he still does not give up the ball enough when he gets into the paint.
The defense is especially frustrating. During The 10 minute stretch spanning halftime last night where we played actual defense it was just more intensity and focus. Then they stopped. I am sympathetic to the fact that our stars are playing heavy minutes because no one else can score and those heavy minutes make all out defensive effort difficult. But we will soon be ranked in the 100s in effective FG% defense and that will get us an midling seed and a first round exit.

So frustrating. Forget final 4. We would be lucky to win a first round game right now.

Glad they decided to come back in the first half instead of late in the 2nd half. Time to blow em out, 2nd half cougs!
