BYU's starters had a total of two (2) turnovers. True, one of them was Demin's dumb throw-in near the end, but only two turnovers from the starting guards is remarkable., Team total of ten, thanks in part to Fous's three, but overall, that's outstanding game control and reflects a surprisingly high level of composure.

Truly perfect D by Mag. So impressed the team didn't fold. Losing that game because of Dawson;s F2 would have been truly horrendous. Bring on Alabama.

BYU shot 49% from the field - including 46% from 3 - and hit 93% from the line.

BYU had 9 more rebounds and 11 more assists than WISC.

WISC drew 8 more fouls and shot 13 more FTs than BYU.

The stats are pretty lopsided.

BYU leads for 100% of the game and holds on to beat Wisconsin by 2 to reach the Sweet 16! Play of the Game by Mag for that defense on Tonje on that last play. Seriously great defense. Forcing a missed shot won't show up for him personally in the box score, but that type of defense cannot be overstated how good it is. Demin and Hall combined for 14 assists and 3 TOs. And we already know this, but Saunders is a legit superstar and he's showing up on the biggest stage.

Richie "Tater Tot" Saunders gets the Player of the Game. He had the best PER and GSc. His offensive rebounds were off the charts. 0 TOs. He can do almost no wrong. Knell had the best TS% and his 4/6 3FGs were exactly what we needed.

Dallin Hall gets the Struggled to Perform award. I'll take 6 assists to 2 TOs from our backup PG any day, but a few points, and steals would be nice too. I really thought he was going to thrive with shooting and scoring with this team, but he's struggled in that part of his game this season. But we scored 91 points as a team so I'm not really concerned. Demin had the worst TS%, but he hit 2 3FGs and all 3 FTs, and he had a very heatlhy PER so I'm also not concerned with his game right now.

I'm going withhold updating the season PER average until the very end, so let's keep winning!

None, although that'd be an interesting game.

It's also impressive that bench points were 24-3 in BYU's favor. Probably the most balanced/deepest team ever, and that bodes well for next week.
