    BYU Womens Basketball

I couldn’t find a WBB thread. BYU women seem to be excelling nationally in every sport. T&F, WVB, WBB, soccer all are turning into perennial contenders.

I just saw that BYU is beating SMC 41-10 at halftime. I wonder if the Gaels coach will do a drive-by handshake, like Randy Bennett does.

i didn't check the final numbers, but at halftime, having just put up 41 points in a half, byu was shooting 38% from the field and 17% from three. how does a team score 41 points in half of college basketball with those shooting numbers, you ask? they also had 36 rebounds (again, talking about a half's worth of work here) and SMC had turned it over 14 times. you aren't going to see that every day.

I watched the game. The competition was horrible (St. Mary's didn't get to double figures until about 2 minutes until halftime. It was strange getting frustrated by all the BYU misses while still up by over 30.

This team is very talented and works hard; lots of effort. But they have a crazy inability to finish at the rim. That will hurt when facing better competition.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Will lack of Provo hotels and Sunday play keep BYU from hosting the first two rounds of the tournament? Possibility.

We need someone to step up with a smokin' NIL deal for her.

Shaylee's departure is like Jimmer or Danny entering the portal if it had been available. My gut feeling says it is one of three things: She doesn’t like the new coach, she doesn’t think BYU has a chance at an NCAA berth, or–more probable–she is hoping for greater NIL opportunities elsewhere. As I recall she has quite the social media following.

rumor on CB is that Judkins was forced out (he wanted one more year) and this is as a result. Some are saying she would have been gone regardless.

Does CB really know anything? Why would BYU force Judkins out? That doesn't make sense. Not that everything that BYU admins do make sense.
