  • PAC-12 basketball

As I see it, the move to the PAC-12 should give the Utah program a real shot in the arm. You only need 1 or 2 high caliber player to turn a program around, and it isn't like the Utah program is dead yet. Granted, Boylen has been performing some heavy duty CPR the last 6 months, but we ain't dead yet.

I really think that with Boylen in the PAC-12, and the perceived weakness of the PAC-12 in basketball, the Utah basketball program should bounce back much more quickly than it would have in the MWC.

Agree. Basketaball is a really exciting part of it for me. It's an urban sport. now we're in an urban league, with the team with the most admirable tradition all-time.

Plus, in 2011, we'll get to see Carlon Brown twice. How 'bout that?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Yeah we have to hope and as I think about it this could be where we get the biggest shot in the arm in recruiting. In state if nothing else. How big who knows, but it can't hurt and things can't get too much worse.

Once he left, I didn't pay attention. Where'd he go?

I kind of chuckled when I thought of Brown and Henderson leaving, wondering what they thought of this now. But, then again, it personality issues that was the problem, and I don't think moving to the PAC-12 would've fixed those situations.

I'm thinking Boylen is lying to us and he really broke his foot doing backflips when he heard about this.

He went to CU, will sit out 2010 and play his senior year in 2011.

Srsly!? He left Utah to spend his senior season, in Colorado!?

EDIT: In Carlon's defense, he would be Da Man there.

are you saying that a pac-10 basketball program has the most admirable tradition all-time? or that utah would have the most admirable tradition of all time? because both are stupid.

I think this conference just added its newest doormat.

lol! try to come up with something original. I know you; you're a smart fellow. Do you know how many Pac 12 basketball teams have inferior basketball traditions to Utah?:

                        USC
                        Washington
                        WSU
                        ASU
                        OSU
                        Ducks
                        Cal
                        Stanford
                        Colorado

Utah's tradition (recent and long) is vastly superior to all of these.

wow you're right. That is a really shitty conference! Looks like the MWC will continue to own the shit out of the Pac.

Defensive much? Clearly MG was talking about Colorado.

Hey, I'm willing to admit those teams aren't exactly inspiring in the hoops department. I'm also willing to admit that Utah hoops has arguably a better "tradition" than the majority of those teams.

But the Pac-10 didn't just extend an offer to the mid-to-late 90s Runnin' Utes. The offer went out to the program that just had three sub-.500 regular season finishes in the last six years.
