Junkie, the news gets worse. Wake lost. It won't be no. 1 anymore. When it rains it pours. I'm so sorry.

Not to distract from the sexual tension you and CJ have going on, but he hasn't posted in this thread or about the game tonight.

I wanted to reach through the TV and choke him on that play. The worst thing about it is that I guarantee what was going through his head was "Long rebound...I'll grab it and shoot..."

The Big 3 all choked in the 2nd half.

BYU stopped pressuring the ball upcourt until it was way too late in the 2nd half.

Teams have figured out the key to slowing down BYU. Get physical with them and they will wilt because of their struggles to run an effective offense in the half court game.

Chris Miles lack of contribution in any way shape or form is killing this team. His disappearing act when he's got so much potential, to me at least, is the single most infuriating thing about the team.

Yeah, Miles was awful. In both halves.

One of JT's worst performances ever. All the TOs, poor shooting, lack of effort. He needs to dump Ms. Redford now.

And what is Miles doing out there?

First half BYU was really great in the transition game. I was thinking either UNLV's transition defense is piss poor or BYU is the college version of the Showtime Lakers. Once UNLV started getting back in the transition, BYU really fell apart. Even in the first half they weren't great in the half court sets, which is surprising because I have always been impressed with Rose's offense.

Finally a post that explains UNLV's adjustments. It isn't always about BYU losing the game. Rose got outcoached by a wiley old fox more skilled (in the long run) at using his talents.

My opinion is that UNLV turned up the defense big time and they started doubling Fredette on a made basket which slowed down BYUs transition game. BYU looked awful in the halfcourt, mainly because they have zero post presence. Miles should have dominated the smaller UNLV lineup instead he looked awful. When Rose went with the small lineup and JT at the 5, BYU played much better but he went to it way to late.

Also if you look at JTs stat line 21, 13 and 5 steals that looks great but then you dig deeper and see that he was 3-10 from the 3pt line and 7-22 shooting it makes me sick.

Lee is a pussy and was getting manhandled in the post.

JT is one of those players whose stats make him seem like he is a lot better than he actually is. He is great when he is on, but he can and will lose you games. It is hard criticizing him when you look at his points, rebounds, and steals but he didn't play a good game and was a big reason why BYU lost the game.

I agree with you of Cummard right now, but what happened between last season and this season. He wasn't getting manhandled last year and was actually making plays down the stretch, until the NCAA tournament.

Plaisted was a peanut brain but his interior presence is needed.

Everyone not named JT shot 3 for 17 from the field in the 2nd half. Jimmer went 0 for 5 after going 6 for 10 in the first half. JT nearly outrebounded the remaining 4 of the starting 5. No one could stop the dribble penetration and certainly Miles/MacGregor did nothing to clean up their mess.

                              It was a team effort.

UNLV showed how to beat BYU. Leave the post alone, muscle Lee, hawk Jimmer full court, and cover tight on the perimeter.

JT was plain awful in the second half. The effort on that rolling offensive rebound late in the game was piss poor and that's saying it nicely. He and Lee played like a couple prima donas that second half.

Miles was worse than awful the whole game. He's regressing.

I'm not totally down yet, but we need some improvement fast, especially in the post.
