but is not taking on an agent

New Mexico guard Darington Hobson declares for NBA draft - ESPN

Does anyone project him into the first round? I think he is a fine college player, but I didn't see extraordinary skills that projected into an NBA regular.

He played at CEU, of course he has NBA potential. He is going to follow in the footsteps of Ime Udoka, Eddie Gill and Harold "the show" Arcenaux.

Wow, CEU has a lot more players that have played in the NBA than BYU has over the past 15 years. Go Golden Eagles.

EDIT: Let's not forget Scottie Vines who played basketball at CEU but didn't make it on the hoops team at Wyoming but did well enough on the football field to play in the NFL for a couple of years.

CEU pays better than BYU. That would explain it!

Hobson's in the same boat as Jimmer. He doesn't have an agent and has announced that if it doesn't look like he will go in the first round, he'll come back for his senior year. I don't see him as a first round pick; I expect him back. And barring injury or illness, the Jimmer will run away with the Player of the Year award in the MWC over Hobson next year.

Chad Ford has him as a middle first round pick.

He seems like a guy whose skills would transfer to the pro game better than Jimmer's. I think Jimmer's a better college player, but I was assuming he'd grade out a lot higher than Jimmer for the draft.

Considering other sources have him squarely in the second round, this is at least the 3rd time I've seen you make this comment and then shown to be an idiot.

Its truly remarkable to be so very wrong so very often and yet keep behaving as if you're never wrong.

Should I laugh or be impressed, its so very confusing?

Would it mollify you if I told you that McClain is one of those Quisling Utah graduates who is as indufferable a BYU fan and homer as can be? Just look at how he thinks Jimmer got robbed even though he couldn't get BYU a championship in any shape or form, and watched his team lose twice to New Mexico. Moreover, you have to wonder about someone who hates his alma mater.

It makes me wonder more about the Alma Mater for it to have so many alums who root so vigorously for its rival, especially a poster with the acumen and outstanding reputation as Brother McClain!

Lunardi's way-too-early predictions for the NCAA tournament 2011.

He thinks that 4 MWC teams are in again and he obviously has BYU winning either the conference, the tournament, or both. (I'm guessing he's basing this on Hobson's departure and Jimmer returning)

Notre Dame overrated again. Who saw that coming?
