I think this is a good move for a great coach. I have always been a fan of Lavin's.I'm your huckleberry.

I too think he is a good coach and a good hire. I don't remember any baggage that he has.
I may be small, but I'm slow.

Great hire. In the other thread about what coaches you would want Lavin was one of the guys I mentioned. I love Lavin. The dude is a good coach and a hell of a recruiter. He didn't miss many kids out of LA when he was at UCLA."Nobody listens to Turtle."-TurtlesigpicComment

I think Lavin could make St. Johns relevant again and a power in the Big East. Especially if he can get the city behind him. And he has that kind of charisma to do that.
