Not sure if this has been mentioned in the march madness thread, but I thought it was pretty amazing:

I don't care if he's Rain Man, it was pure luck.

I heard about this they said he is in a CBS sports league where you can change your picks. They swear they did not change his picks but I am skeptical.

Yeah, that's gotta be traceable, I'd think. Sounds like an xbox guy.

You mean a savant? Yeah, there are plenty of brilliant players on xbox.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Excluding the possibility of having the gift of literally being able to see the future, it absolutely is pure luck. Making the crass (and incorrect) assumption that each game is a 50/50 proposition, the odds of getting all 32 games correct is 4.3 billion to 1.

Recognizing that the 1vs16 and 2vs15 games are essentially 100% propositions (not exactly, but close enough for purposes of this discussion), then the odds of getting the other 24 games correct, even if you continue to use the same ultra-conservative assumption that the remaining games are 50/50 propositions, the odds are now down to 16.8 million to 1.

People win the Powerball at over 195 million to 1 odds.
