  • Jimmer has declared for the draft

Spare me the "that's old news" posts -- I've been out of the country the last several days... In today's "Who's in, who's out of 2010 draft?", Chad Ford lists Jimmer as "In the draft: Players who officially have declared for the 2010 NBA draft":
    Jimmer Fredette, PG, BYU
Fredette had his coming-out party against Florida in the first round of the NCAA tournament, then came back down to Earth versus Kansas State in the next round. Some GMs love his smarts and shooting ability, but others feel he lacks the athletic ability to thrive in the pros. While it's possible he sneaks into the late first round, the most likely scenario has him going somewhere in the second round or undrafted.

Yes, he publically stated that he intended to declare for the draft but not hire an agent so that after he gets feedback on his status, he can return to school if he wants.

I'm assuming the story doesn't indicate that he's hired an agent, right? Meaning that I expect that he won't hire an agent.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

        When/where did he announce it?

I'm not sure, but it seems I've been hearing that he'd declare and not hire an agent for more than a month now.
