Jimmer listens to a song about himself before every game? That is funny.

Edit: Two more things 1) TJ is obviously Prof-Bball right? B) TJ LOVES sweaters.

Even better if you imagine that he speaks about himself in the 3rd person before a game too.

My favorite part of the video was the kid getting leveled in the background as Jimmer gets a layup at about 2:15.

I love this video. Thanks for posting.

I'm pretty sure my 3 year old could take the young Jimmer in this video, though.

I thought Prof-Bball claimed he was his uncle or something.

I believe he married the sister shown in the video.

Could someone also help me understand why "The Gauntlet" would be a good drill? I think it would be a good excuse for TJ to thump on Jimmer as any good older brother should, but I'm not seeing how it helps his ball skilz.

I'm not sure how much it helped, but it helps illustrate how hard they worked together to make Jimmer a better player.

I loved Jimmer kicking the fence at the beginning.

I love it, too. I'm showing my kids for FHE.

That video is pretty cool. It shows the kind of dedication it takes to be an elite player who may not be as talented as many others. Time ake my 4 year old out to the back yard and set up some cones.

TJ seems to be at high risk of catching the douche, what with the gang signs and the perma-"Blue Steel" facial expression, but that song is pretty cool and I can see why it would be inspiring for Jimmer. To be reminded of all your hard work for so many years every time before you play seems like a fine idea to me.

Someone help me out here - is this an example of good rap/hip hop?

No guile on my part. I'm asking because I really don't know.

I think it is pretty good especially when you go in thinking "white boy Mormon rapper" but I'm no hip hop connoisseur.

I haven't been into rap since my rebellious days jamming out to Public Enemy in the late 80's. All rap sounds lame to me now, and I'm sure this is even lamer than what would be considered quality rap nowadays. Perfect for rivalry smack, especially when Utes are grasping for anything right now. And of course guys like DDD who live their life to impress others will take their shots at it.

I'm being vulnerable throwing this out there and I know it's cheesy and all that. But I'm a sucker when it comes to art and literature where love is the theme. This song is all about the love of a big brother. Being a big brother myself and having sons, I find this video beautiful and very moving. The low quality production values make it even more endearing. It's not about what anyone else thinks about it; it's done for his brother.
