  • How do you follow the 1st round games?

I was telling someone here at the office yesterday that I think I have skipped work, school and mission and have not missed Thursday and Friday games since I was about 12 years old.

Though I haven't followed college hoops as closely this year as I have in other years, the next two days are the best sports viewing days of the year IMO. I always get more excited for them than any other and might be in a trance by the time my 2:00 tee time comes around tomorrow.

My firm announced yesterday that they would be hooking up DirecTV HD in the main conference room today. As an added bonus, the managing partner ordered us Mega March Madness. I'll be camped out in that room all day.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I like to go to a sports bar (grill here in Utah) and watch, at least on Thursday for a game or two.

I took Thursday night off from work. I enjoy college football and hockey more than I do college basketball, but nothing compares to the NCAA tournament, especially the first weekend.

You'd let me do that? How nice of you.

I see that there is an iPhone app you can get for a buck or two that will stream the games to your phone. Anyone planning on this or have any idea if this is a viable option? I'll be slaving away for the man tomorrow, so I'm contemplating doing this so I can take peeks at the games throughout the day on my phone. Not sure if the picture quality will be garbage though.

Edit: looks like it's actually $10. Hmmm.

I sit on the couch and don't move.

Of course, it's really no different than any other day.

Assuming it's similar to the Tournament app, CBS has an app where you can watch their football/basketball game of the week live streaming on your phone. I used it once or twice late last season, and while it wasn't amazing, it was pretty good considering the situation.

Thursday off, working Friday. Isn't March the reason one works with dual monitors?

                      Yeah, it's the CBS one.

pres samuelson decided to drop a figurative deuce on the byu student body by continuing the policy of not giving us a spring break, so i made the executive decision to create my own mini-break by telling professors i had doctors' appointments tomorrow and friday, and to not expect me in class. i've got 52" of sony 1080p, a comfortable couch, and storage room stocked with easy mac waiting for me at my parents' house.

Let me guess....your instructors coincidentally have doctor appointments tomorrow as well?

FN Phat's wife is on her way for a visit and will be here tonight. I asked if I could borrow her Droid to follow the game with while I am at the hospital while Gidget is under the knife. I'm also packing my laptop and hoping they have wi-fi or that I can poach a signal.
