BTW, did anyone see the midrange shot of the random BYU fan bitching right before BYU inbounded the ball at the end of regulation. He looked like the same type of guy that would yell out "pass the ball LaVell!" when BYU was running down the clock with a 28 point lead in the fourth quarter.

That was the highlight of the game for me.

My favorite highlight of every Utah game this year was the high pitch screaming guy. He even made the trip down to Provo. He had an enormous impact on me.

From our discussion about rebounding after the BYU TCU conference game:

BYU is 3rd nationally in defensive rebounding percentage and is 26th nationally in rebounding margin.

This isn't directed towards you, Indy, but Florida outrebounded us 45-33 and had 20 offensive rebounds to our 7. Does anyone think there is trouble in the rebounding department or is this just an aberration?

Big trouble. This is the first time I was able to watch BYU play and I am shocked with how badly we rebound. Our bigs don't play big at all.

Part of the problem was we went small to match Floridas quickness on the guard line. Florida is a unique matchup problem because their 3 is 6'9'. Which means that when Loyd got hot BYU had to put Emery on Parsons and that really hurt our rebounding numbers.

Indy wasn't lying about that stat (I had to look it up because it seemed crazy), but yeah we've had tons of issues with rebounding all season. I'm not sure how the stats ended up looking so pretty when we don't have any great rebounders.

Won't we have the same problem. I think you have to play Lloyd and Emery has to play. Won't we match up bad against KSU too.

I think this is right on. IIRC, rebounding numbers were even at half.

Parsons and Werner are the 2 6'9 small forwards, the combined for 16 rebounds, 9 of them offensive. I think that is mostly due to Emery having to guard them and try and box them out. I wish we would have used Abouo a bit more, Emery actually lead BYU with 7 rebounds in the game.

I found all 16 of them to be offensive.
