That's the talk over at CB. Iowa St. has officially granted him a release.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I don't know anything about this dude. Is he LDS? Is he good?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

He's from Alpine, this year averaged 6 pts and 5 boards in 21 minutes for a 15 win Iowa St team that finished at the bottom of the Big 12. So its hard to say what he brings.

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Apparently not LDS, but parents went to BYU. I like his rebounding numbers and He is only a Sophomore.

A brief search on the Google machines reveals that his father played on the 1984 National Championship football team.

His father is played football at BYU and his mom played volleyball there.

He was a stud at Lone Peak, is not LDS but has BYU ties.

By the way rumor has it CJ Wilcox is not happy at Washington and may be looking to transfer closer to home. Also James Anderson most likely will not be back so that opens up 2 schollies for BYU. Wilcox and Hamilton as opposed to an unproven JC guy would be nice.

I'd love to see Wilcox in BYU blue. Anderson leaving makes me nervous. We would still need another big man. Miles is done, so Next year we would have Davies, Hartsock and Chris Collingsworth?

Wilcox was a guy that Boylen recruited heavily. I have to wonder if he'd have any interest there (more pt!).

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Utah was very close on Wilcox, I've have to believe he's still be very interested.

As for Hamilton, I'm not sure he's the best for Rose's style.

Yeah I am sure Utah has a shot at Wilcox. I saw him a church ball game right after he signed with Washington (he is not LDS but plays with some of his friends), he told me that his final 3 were BYU, Utah and Washington. He said it was really close.

Didn't Wilcox redshirt this year? He isn't going to move ahead of Annoy Overton, Isaiah Thomas or Abdul Gaddy next year though, so at best he would be the fourth guard. Though Annoy will be a senior next year.

That may be why he isn't happy.

Bstod over on CB who is one of the assistant coaches at Lone Peak and coached Hamilton said the talk is very premature and he is not sure if we will see him at BYU. However he did say BYU has been in contact with him.

Utah may have a shot with this kid as well.
