  • One Shining Moment

I don't like the song "One Shining Moment" (result of '98 maybe? I don't know). I wish they had something else to play for the tourney recap; I really hate it.

Anyway, I guess this year Jennifer Hudson is going to sing it, replacing the Luther Vandross version. Even if I enjoyed the song, I wouldn't have an opinion on the change because I'm completely unfamiliar with Jennifer Hudson.

Any other OSM haters out there?

My hatred of that song would black out the sun if I released it all at once.

I loathe it, CBS is long overdue for a new theme song.

What about Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden then?

"The ball is tipped...there you are...you're living for your life...you're a shooting star...and all those years, no one knows, just how hard you worked...but now it shows!

In one shining moment you reached deep inside, in one shining moment you knew, you were alive..."

I am a one shining moment lover. I don't like the newer versions of the song, but count me as a fan.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

My fondest memories of that song include a short visit to a high school friend's house a few days removed from the mission field. He and two other buddies sitting around a table hitting the hashpipe and watching that video on a loop. That event put in specific relief how our lives had diverged in just 2 short years. I can still hear Frost in my head..."Two roads diverged in a wood..."

I think one of them is still working at a local convenience store. Good song though.

Great song and it would be much better than One Dull Moment.
