The Utes as a whole are playing better and I'm sure are looking for payback on a game they let slip away.

    Not going to happen.

Yeah, the game is only 1,000 tix from being sold out. The place will be hopping.

I agree with everything except for the Utah letting the first game slip away. That was game was really never in doubt except for about a minute or two.

It's hard to tell how a team reacts to a loss like BYU's loss to New Mexico. BYU has been flying high a lot on emotion and chemistry. It has been the darling of the media. It was an eight point favorite against New Mexico. Now all of a sudden it's not going to win the conference; New Mexico is in the spotlight and BYU has something to prove. It's a new place for BYU and could play out either way. PErsonally, I like Utah's chances better after a BYU loss to New Mexico. I think it's less comprehensible that BYU beats New Mexico and then screws the pooch (3D, did I get that right?) against lowly Utah. Teams let down after big games all the time. Maybe letting down after a big win is more intuitively obvious, but teams do lose big games and come out flat all the time. I don't understand why that's incomprehensible. If I understood Rose better maybe I'd follow you better, but he seems pretty opaque to me. I think it's an open question how BYU will react emotionally to this loss.

You're right. My bad. It was obvious that all Jimmer had to do was hit a simple 28' shot to put it away.

I bet you wonder what kind of payback Blount could have given Boise if given another shot.

Really? Don't fall into the trap, U-Ute. Don't do it just because it's rivalry week. It is possible to accept the fact that BYU had the game well in hand except for the 1-2 min that he already cited. The Utes just aren't very good this year and that's ok to have a down year every year for the past 5 once in a while, even at Utah.

Thank you for acknowledging the extreme emotional toll of playing in the biggest game in MWC/WAC history. Both teams so highly ranked, both teams with POY candidates on the roster, BYU in the middle of a historic home-game win streak. I concur....since Saturday was the first example of a game of such magnitude in MWC/WAC history, we can only speculate how BYU will handle the loss. Obviously, I expect them to bounce back handily, but you never know. I am just happy that I was able to to watch the game and be a part of history.

So Utah cuts it to 4, and BYU immediately turns it on and pushes it back to 8 in a hurry. Sorry but that is not letting it slip away. If BYU had lost after leading start to finish they would have let it slip away.

Here is the sequences in case you have blocked out that painful memory:

I was checking the score during the game and was annoyed that ESPN didn't have the score on its front page. It wasn't even on the college basketball front page. Neither was the story.

Its on ESPNs front page right now, 2 days later!

Georgetown losing to another mediocre opponent did not make the front page either, ESPN must expect that by now.

Foxsports has an article on the Hoyas in the College Hoops section.

The article encourages Hoya fans to not panic. lol.

I predict Georgetown will lose by double digits. It may be time for Hoya Paranoia.

                              Sorry, just being honest!

I am now wishing GU to fall far enough that the seeding will be BYU-GU in round one, a "the NCAA giveth and taketh away" seeding like Utah got last year agaisnt a talented UA team.
