....talk about bitter and angry people!

Football coach punches out one of his assistants. Women's soccer player pulls a BYU soccer player down by the hair (played on ESPN for days). And now Alford goes 'a-hole' on a BYU player.

Sounds like some anger issues going on in Albuquerque.

I don't know but I'm pretty sure Obama is to blame somehow.

What does Obama have to do with my post? Time to grow up. I assume you're out of high school.

You sound pretty angry yourself, sport. All the time.

2/3 of those incidents involve BYU.

There must be something about BYU that brings out the worst in others.

So it's the victim's fault? Wonder what brings out the worst? Religious bigotry? Am I close?

When I first went to CB, Hallelujah used a Renaissance icon of Mary and baby Jesus, each with crown, as his avatar. He thought he was belittling a sacred Catholic icon, but really he was evincing his ignorance of Renaissance artistic tradition. This fit my fondest stereotypes of BYU fans. But I would learn that Hallelujah is as repulsive to many BYU fans as he is to me.

My post was an example of what is known as self-deprecation. I was not unaware of the irony. You can't even take a compliment from me with any grace!

I have no idea what it is. You'd have to ask the New Mexico athletes and coaches what it is about BYU athletes that is so irritating.

O course, both the soccer incident and the basketball incident both took place on the campus of BYU, so perhaps you ought to ask if it's the water in Provo.

Well, they do live in in Albequerque. I know I'd be angry all the time if I lived there.

BYU's smugness just makes them want to vent it on them.

On 1320 this morning they mentioned the conference is reviewing the case to see if they should dish out any punishments. That's stupid. Last I checked in America, grown men are allowed to refuse to shake hands with people, call another adult an asshole, etc. They might have embarrassed themselves, but they don't need any official league punishment.
