    CSU tonight

Should be a good test. CSU's not great, but they've been playing OK and beating a team like them in their gym is never easy. I've seen pieces of the show the MTN does with Coach Miles a couple times. He's a real likable guy. CSU seems like an impossible place to build a program. I bet he's not there long.

I have to say after being completely against the MTN for a long time, especially because I don't have access to cable in my neighborhood, after the MTN went on DirecTV, I kind of like it. You get more coverage especially during BB season than you would otherwise. Not necessarily with BYU, but with the other teams in the conference and deeper analysis of the conference from a neutral perspective.

I think I expect one more loss, most likely tonight or at Utah. I don't think there's any way we lose at home, though. One road loss still gives us a tie for the championship and a one seed. I won't be disappointed with that. At this point it's all about how we do in the Big Dance.

The MTN in theory is a great idea for all the reasons you state.

The problem is in the execution. Horrible production quality and the analysts are very marginal.

Watching the MTN reminds me of watching that student-run BYU station that does weather and news broadcasts. At any given moment, you would not be surprised to see some stage tech walk by in the background or some other sort of amateur gaffe.

It is definitely nice to be able to watch every single BYU game here from the comfort of my own pad.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

BYU wins by more than 6 tonight. I agree, one more loss. I hope it isn't New Mexico.

CSU kind of scares me tonight, despite the fact we dismantled them in Provo.

I just don't see it with CSU. We rolled this team earlier in the year even when they started out shooting lights out. Granted, they've "improved" by beating a schizophrenic Ute squad on the road and soundly beat a very bad Wyoming team but in their most recent game they trailed a hapless AF team by 8 at halftime before coming back to barely win. I'm not that concerned about tonight to be honest. With Davies back and Emery having found his stroke I think a win tonight is a foregone conclusion. Perhaps I'm overconfident in our abilities but I think the boys broke through the wall they'd hit earlier in the month. Cougs by double digits.

Someone told me that come the MWC tourney the MTN will be permanently in HD. Has anyone else heard this?

I approach BYU BB completely different than FB for some reason. With BYU BB, it feels like it's me and maybe a few hundred fans following the team. When I go to games and the MC feels empty, it doesn't bother me. When I watch away games on TV and it feels like college kids are putting on the show with no budget, it's fine. When Coach Rose does a weekly radio show with Randolph Fairbear??!! that I download and listen to on my phone while I do my elliptical, it feels like they basically put on the show for me personally. I don't have much expectation for some reason, and I'm happy with what I get.

BYU FB is totally different, and I expect national attention and more of a big time feeling.

I don't think Emery found his stroke. I think he just played a game in Provo. I'd like to see a breakdown of his 3 point shooting home vs away. Especially since conference started. I bet it's 50% from home, 15% away.

34% at home and 24% on the road in conference. Not good but I don't think against CSU and our remaining road opponents that his 3pt% will be the difference.

He didn't find his stroke, but he didn't hoist up any forced shots because BYU did a lot better job with ball movement.

BYU wins tonight. I also think they win out the regular season and finish conference at 14-2 with an OCC. They will then lose in the semis of the MWC tourny to either UNLV or SDSU. I'll wait for their tournament opponent before prognosticating their tourny run, but I'll put them down for a 1st round win this year. Any questions?

Is it true that Nate Cooper actually has a fivehead?

                            Yes. Bordering on six. Others?
