How about shooting over 50% from the field and still losing by 51? I'm not sure if that's ever happened before.

Of course UCLA shot 60%+ and WYO had 29 turnovers.

Charles Garcia of Seattle has attempted 58 more free throws than approximately 4,500 other D-1 basketball players this year. Unfortunately, he's a bricklayer of epic proportions.

The "Great West" Conference, which is neither great nor west, has 6 of the worst 28 teams in D-1. There are only 7 teams in the conference.

Three of the teams even have bottom 40 SOS and still can't win for losing.

A player for Iowa has attempted nothing but 3 pointers this year

Garcia only averages 27 minutes per game, which makes his (not quite as large) FT attempt lead even more impressive.

29 turnovers (to 10), including coughing-up 20 steals (!) probably had a lot to do with it...

Undoubtedly, but usually when teams are being pressured into that many turnovers, they aren't getting off quality shot attempts to hit over 50% from the field either.

That truly is an amazing stat. In 15.6 min per game you'd think he'd accidentally get a rebound in a position to shoot from inside the 3. I wonder how many he's passed up inside the arc?

True - Parakhouski is at 34 mpg and has shot 40 less FTs.

At least he's hit almost 40% of them, so he isn't completely inept. No, I'm not saying almost 40% is a great number.

I realized this was probably a better fit inside this thread rather than starting a new one.

How come Majerus didn't have teams like that at Utah? Has he lost his touch? Can't say that I am feeling bad for him however.

You would need to look into the details of why Majerus left Utah, the USC head coaching job that wasn't and go from there.
