Marshal Henderson is the love child of the Chicken Hawk and Jonathon Tavernari! He is almost as good as Randy Reid, I mean in a game of horse.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

When was the last time a BYU player FB or BB was ejected from a game? I'm sure it has happened, but I can't recall the last time I witnessed it. If memory serves me correct Miles and Saint Cooper were given technicals but no ejected. I'm not even sure Rafa received a T when he innocently and accidently hit whoever it was that was trying to attack him.

LOL.. could you imagine the uproar if anything happened to Emery? And rightfully so, nothing will be done to Emery.Originally posted by Mr. Crimson View PostJust to be serious for a moment, shouldn't Brother Emery sit a game as well. I mean he did instigate the thing and did cause first contact.
Or was the fact that he nearly died from mighty Marshall Henderson's thundering blow enough punishment.

Instigate? Brother C, given the zillion other instances of physical contact that occur in the course of a basketball game, do you really think Emery's contact could reasonably be expected to start a fight? I've been more seriously accosted by old women at church when they reach out and touch my arm. I find them annoying and yet I am able to muster enough self-control not to take a swipe at their faces. Except for Sister Jensen--next time she grabs my forearm she's going down.
Imagine if Henderson hadn't reacted badly and the incident consisted solely of the Emery caress. Would you, or any coach, review tape of that offensive touching and conclude he ought to be suspended for a game? If not, why should Henderson's temporary insanity dictate punishment for Emery or anyone else?
BTW, what about that fastball Henderson threw at JT's body after the whistle blew? Perhaps Henderson was unable to hear it as the ref was standing five feet away. And savvy players throw it at a player's legs, not the head or upper body. But given Henderson's FG percentage, it's likely his aim was a bit off.
Not even YzGuy was as passionate in defending Miles a few years back, though, so you have my admiration for your advocacy here.

You said this in the fall about Byron Hout, correct? I couldn't find any posts by you from that time, perhaps you weren't a member of CUF yet.Originally posted by Mr. Crimson View PostJust to be serious for a moment, shouldn't Brother Emery sit a game as well. No I'm actually totally inconsistent on this. I think that incident was all on Blount. He had been talking trash all week and then didn't deliver. Hout also didn't walk up on him, he merely asked him how that asskicking went.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostYou said this in the fall about Byron Hout, correct? My point is, Emery walked up on Henderson, bumped and kind of grabbed him and essentially started the whole thing. Now Henderson has to know better but Brother Emery is not without blame.

I haven't looked at the reply, but IIRC, he threw the ball off of JT as he was falling out of bounds. It was a continuation of the play. Even Emery himself said as much.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostBTW, what about that fastball Henderson threw at JT's body after the whistle blew? I think he did throw it at JT's legs but the something the size of JT's head would clearly have it's own gravitational pull and that is what pull the ball upward.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostWell as long as you keep bringing it up...
