  • There was a time when

I wouldn't have dreamed of missing a UCLA visit to Mac Court. I am taking the boys tonight, they have yet to make it through a whole game, so we will probably leave early.

This team is so bad that the guy who sits next to me left the ASU game a couple weeks ago before halftime and did this,

It has been a great final year in one of the best gyms in college hoops!

Well, I am once again glad to be wrong. The Pit was The Pit, even if it was for the last time. This Oregon team has some players, they just are young and right now not really well coached. But UCLA's last visit to Mac Court was a win for the home team, with Bill Walton in the front row!

Come up, I have four tickets and most games let 2 of them go to waste.

HFN I asked you this awhile ago, but I don't think you ever saw it...or you are ignoring me like everyone else around here.

I must have missed it, sorry. I love Mac Court about 5-8 games a year. It has an energy, and advantage that doesn't exist anywhere else in the country. It is cramped, uncomfortable, heck with a minute left for fire safety they have to take away half the bench, leaving the managers and last guys on the bench kneeling or sitting on the floor. It carries teams to wins, it did tonight. When the bats in the roof fly around in late Feb, early March games when it is like an oven in there.

I will miss nights like tonight when an hour after the game your ears are still ringing and the baskets shook when the visitors are shooting FTs.

I will not miss, having a red mark on my shin from the chair in front of me. The nights in the preseason when you are playing Central Northern Tech State and it is half full and feels like just an old dump.

Completely agree, there's nothing like being at Mac with it rocking in the Ducks' favor. When I was there, we had some near misses against big Stanford and AZ teams and that place was alive. And if you're lucky enough to be in top tier seating, you get a nice bit of vertigo.
I have nothing else to say at this time.
