Since I have a pretty much universal disdain for sports fans, I am probably not as bothered as I should be that this kid got punched. That is one of the risks of rushing a court that still has opposing players on it.
Saying that Cousins probably still has issues, just that my prejudice towards fans overwhelms my capacity to expect Cousins to act like a mature adult.
I think rushing the court and jubilation are a great part of college sports and that game is a perfect example of why I will always love college sports more than professional. However, if you rush the court before the opposing players can clear it bad things are likely to happen and I will just about always take the side of the player. My burden of proof is probably unmeetable for the fan.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Precedent has been set. ESPN needs to spend a week filled with moral outrage and the player needs to be suspended for 85% of the season. Then when he is brought back from suspension people are openly allowed to question that it was done only to preserve winning the conference. I feel like ESPN, MSNBC, CNN and Fox News should be showing the punch on an endless loop for the next week, and then every time the player is mentioned the rest of the season.
