Best movie scene ever featuring a Duran Duran song:Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIn touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt I'm after you
Smell like I sound I'm lost in a crowd.
And I'm hungry like the wolf.

I'm predicting a BYU win tonight.
Hot Dog the Movie, Shannon Tweed and Hungry Like a Wolf.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Besides the Kevin Bacon punch dance routine and the volleyball scene from Top Gun, I don't think any 80s movie scene is better.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostInterspersed with shots of David Naughton cutting a rug, as well as foul-mouthed Chinese guy doing the robot.Part of it is based on academic grounds. I liked the scene in Some Kind of Wonderful...Amanda Jones is in the museum and sees the painting of herself hanging in the gallery. She is tormented by the juxtaposition of beautiful art (her self-portrait...or, her very being), albeit of humble and unremarkable origin (painted by Keith, not by a famous artist like the other pieces in the gallery), when she realizes that, likewise, she has needlessly sold her soul (giving herself to Brady) simply to tarry in the midst of that which others consider to be priceless (the popular crowd). She finally realizes that she has intrinsic value and no longer needs to be with Brady to have genuine feelings of self-worth.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostBesides the Kevin Bacon punch dance routine and the volleyball scene from Top Gun, I don't think any 80s movie scene is better.

The best scene in that movie is when Duncan and his friends show up to Brady's party in order to take it to a respectable level.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI liked the scene in Some Kind of Wonderful...Amanda Jones is in the museum and sees the painting of herself hanging in the gallery. A beautiful scene. No nudity, though."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Speaking of John Hughes movies, I couldn't ever pick up a Matthew Bender forms book without thinking to myself in the voice of the principal from The Breakfast Club, "Bender!" or "You just bought yourself another Saturday."Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI liked the scene in Some Kind of Wonderful...Amanda Jones is in the museum and sees the painting of herself hanging in the gallery. The spead in USA Today looks like it has moved to -1.5 UNM. I used to do that hedge technique, but not anymore. I just don't bet on cougar games, well rarely.Originally posted by jay santos View PostIt's a pick 'em? This might be a good game to use the hedging technique. BYU loses? Damn, oh well I just made $100.

Now we are talking.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIt started out merely as a suggestion. It has since grown into something greater than all of us. We should put together some t shirts and make it official.
I will also suggest a JeffLebowski realty tour, much like the J Peterman Reality Tour on Seinfeld.
We can see where JeffLebowski ate lunch, went to class, first realized that he was actually going to go through with this plan to become an engineer, etc..."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
