Pace is basketball's equivalent to Frank Dolce.

If BYU was 34-1 going into the NCAA tournament, what would their seeding be?

Yes, he was filling in for PK. Yeah, I know it's my fault for listening.

That was probably tongue-in-cheek, but since you asked -- IMO that would mean a 3-seed b/c I can't imagine a scenario where their RPI ever cracks the top-10 due to SOS.

Why should that matter? Do you honestly think BYU could win a game in San Jose against Delaware A&M-Wilmington campus?

BYU's just not athletic enough to expect something like that. Plus as a program, an institution, a fan base, from top to bottom, they don't know what it's like to win a tourney game, so they're starting from scratch. Say they had a tourney run at some point in the last decade...I'd feel much better about winning a game.

If we get a 3 seed or better, I flat out guarantee a win in the first round.

I can't believe anyone would think differently.

Well, until BYU wins a first round game, there's no reason to expect one, is there?

And while Mannion is a tool, it's a safe bet that he know more about basketball than any of us on a message board.

I actually agree. BYU has to prove it at this point.

Given that BYU is being projected as a 4 seed or higher at this point, there sure as hell is a basis to expect one. If you have a long list of games BYU has lost to 13 or 14 seeds, I'm willing to reconsider my opinion.

His knowledge of BB has nothing to do with his opinion on the matter. His dislike of BYU has everything to do with the matter.

If BYU wins the rest of their games, it still wouldn't change his mind???? If he really believes that, then I hope I get a chance to make an extremely large bet with him. I guarantee you he wouldn't take it.

                              2-3. Maybe a 4. See Gonzaga.
