I don't have one, but am following the KSL online feed (again).
Cougar up 38-22 at half. Not bad.
Also, AZ just beat Oregon at home. AZ looking strong in the PAC 10.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Wow what an ass kicking by the Cougars.
I know CSU is not as good as their record in conference considering who they have played. But BYU dominated this game.
Jimmer still did not look himself but had 21 quiet points.
JT took a few questionable shots but the majority of his looks were in rhythm.
Abouo came in and gave some nice minutes.
Mike Loyds dunk was pretty sweet he elevated in a hurry. In fact a lot of dunks in this game, Abouo, Emery, JT
, Loyd.
More importantly they played in your face pressure defense. Holding CSU to 47 points. Tim Miles said their game plan was to hold the ball and force an ugly low scoring game, yet BYU still manages 91 points.*Banned*

CSU hung with us for about 12 minutes. They seemed to hit every shot they took. Then the bottom fell out. Was it due to the Cougar defense, or did they just come back to earth?
Another nice win and it's good to see Jimmer getting those minutes.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

I thought BYU played great D more than anything. This team is fun to watch.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostCSU hung with us for about 12 minutes. They seemed to hit every shot they took. Then the bottom fell out. Was it due to the Cougar defense, or did they just come back to earth?

The Cougs adjusted, threw a little zone for a short period of time at CSU, and basically upped their defense, and forced the transition game at CSU. and wahla, all of sudden the game was over.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostCSU hung with us for about 12 minutes. I love how Rose went to the zone with Davies in there. Davies is not a great man to man low post defender, but he comes from Provo High where they run one of the toughest 2-3 matchup zones you'll find at the high school level, and something Davies is very comfortable playing. These details are definitely not lost on Rose.Originally posted by John McClain View PostThe Cougs adjusted, threw a little zone for a short period of time at CSU, and basically upped their defense, and forced the transition game at CSU. and wahla, all of sudden the game was over.

I think the top sections were filled up by $1 ticket buyers.Originally posted by scottie View Post
It was never very loud compared with the UNLV game, but that's what happens when the game isn't very interesting I guess.
I loved the way BYU doubled and everyone rotated to defend Ogide in the post -- just like they played Caracter for UTEP. For a team without a bunch of good 3-point shooters, that double-team is very effective. For a while in the second half CSU started just giving Ogide the ball facing the basket instead of in the post and that was a little more effective.
For teams to have offensive success against BYU, they need slashers who can score and multiple 3-point shooters -- Nevada fit this bill pretty well.

Nice win for the Cougs. A quick look at the MWC standings shows BYU with 0 losses, a couple spoiler teams with 1 loss, and the other alleged contenders with at least 2 losses.
A couple points from the postgame:
-Tyler Haws said he is getting his mission papers ready and trying to leave in the next few months
-The manchick who sits in the mtn. studio (I don't know the name--Andrea something?) was wearing a pearl necklace, thus proving that irony is alive and well in 2010.

The monster defense has looked a lot better lately than it has in past years. Although JT was having a problem in the UTEP game squeezing up to the other defender to not allow the offensive player to split the double team.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostI think the top sections were filled up by $1 ticket buyers.

This is a good observation. I don't remember seeing nearly this number of blocks and steals in years past. Monstering has been very effective this year, which is why BYU has nice defensive efficiency to match their good offense.Originally posted by jay santos View PostThe monster defense has looked a lot better lately than it has in past years.
