  • 4-5 position key to the game

I think our guards will play great and keep us in the game even if USU's big men outplay us. But if we are to win, then we need the 4-5 position to play solid. Miles needs to have a good game and provide 20 solid minutes. I worry about relying on Davies in an environment like this. JT needs to defend well and rebound well and not hurt us with cold shooting. This is the kind of game JT can lose for us shooting 3's early in the shot clock in an unfriendly gym. If he's not playing at his best, Rose needs to have the guts to sit him. Hartsock matches up better against Wesley anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing Hartsock play 30 minutes splitting between the 4 and 5.

The only way USU wins this is if they kill us on the inside on rebounding and inside scoring.

I totally agree. Miles doesn't even need to score much. He just needs to play solid D and box out. JT has got to at least up and play an average game. I think not having Emery could hurt a lot. Even without his D, it's nice to have that extra scoring option if JT can't get it going.

Which is right about where you'd expect both, based on averages. I think Quayle was the difference in the game.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
