If I'm not feeling too tired when 10 PM rolls around I might get it -- you never know what the quality will be like on these things though.

The color commentator for Hawaii is pretty unprofessional. Here are a few gems so far.
1. He would never live in Utah.
2. BYU is not very athletic -- they don't put pressure on Hawaii the way Northern Colorado did.
3. Something happened to the Hawaii players over the last 4 days because they aren't playing with any effort.
At least the PBP guy tried to correct him by saying that BYU may be the best team they play all season.

Up almost 20; not very athletic. What is our secret?Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostThe color commentator for Hawaii is pretty unprofessional. Here are a few gems so far.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

They were hilarious though. I kept laughing and laughing. Who knew Northern Colorado was such a powerhouse?Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostThe Hawaii announcers are also the second stringers due to the football game and aren't that great. The guy kept referring to Hartsock as Tavernari. Not that, sickos.

JT was 7-14 tonight.
Also Miles only played 3 minutes and Hartsock played 26, was their an injury?
Jimmer with another 20 pt game, 20 and 8 assists to be exact.
Loyd continues to shoot well hitting 2 more threes.
Also according to the box score we started Miles and Anderson is this true?*Banned*

It seems that Miles started, picked up 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes, and got benched for the rest of the game. Davies seemed to be doing well when he was in, but it seems he played the following 10 minutes and then got benched the rest of the game. The blowout was on in the second half so maybe Rose was just playing with lineups, but it seems like Rose thinks Hartsock > Davies > Miles, based on the first three games.
It also looks like Rose has made the decision of Haws over Abouo. Hopefully the latter can continue to get some good minutes though, from what I hear about his potential.
Good to see JT had a good game finally, although his quality minutes do seem to take away from the new guys getting minutes, which I'm frankly more interested in right now (Obviously JT not sucking is a great thing for the team though).

Miles got in early foul trouble -- 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes and never played again. No injury. Hartsock looked good so I guess Rose just decided to leave him in.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostJT was 7-14 tonight.

Starters were Miles, Tav, Emery, Haws and Fredette.lLast edited by CardiacCoug; 11-21-2009, 07:25 AM.

It's funny when we have to celebrate a 50% shooting night from Tavernari. That should be the norm for a SF/PF in college basketball, but with him it's as if he put up 40 or had 10 assists.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostJT was 7-14 tonight.
FWIW, this is not a shot at cougjunkie for posting that - I really do think it's worth celebrating. Once again, did not shot a FT, however.I'm like LeBron James.

I am glad he was 7-14. I don't want JT to suck. 7 of his 14 shots were from 3. I didn't see the shots so I can't comment on their quality. However, when 50% or more of your shots are from 3 pt range, and you play the 4, there is a good chance your shot selection is poor.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIt's funny when we have to celebrate a 50% shooting night from Tavernari. I watched it online and Tav's shot selection was definitely better, especially on the 3-pointers. He shot off the catch with his feet set, and only when he had some space.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostI am glad he was 7-14. I don't want JT to suck. 7 of his 14 shots were from 3. He did attempt some of those fadeaway 12-footers off the dribble that are low-percentage shots -- but not shooting the fallaway 3-point shots is a start.
