  • Blue White game

I agree pretty much straight on with this summary:

    http://www.cougarboard.com/nologin/m...tml?id=4965540

I was a bit disappointed in Davies. He's more raw than I thought, and I can see him using a redshirt year. If not, I doubt he plays much.

I see this team as follows:

    Player position (minutes)
    Miles 5 (24)
    Harstock 5 (10), 4 (10)
    Anderson 5 (6)
    JT 4 (25) wing (5)
    Magnusson 4 (5)
    Abouo wing (22)
    Haws wing (12)
    Emery wing (30)
    Loyd wing (5)
    Jimmer point (28) wing (6)
    Morgan point (12)

    Something like that.

Hey Jay, are you still coaching a boys' AAU team?

Not this year. Another coach is taking the team at least through the winter season. I'm going to coach my younger boy.

I am seriously shocked when anyone expects much out of Davies this year. I have said this many times before, he is really, really raw. He has to develop a game because right now, he doesn't have much of one.

Seems like one person said he would redshirt and the other said he would be good his junior year. I don't think I've really seen anyone say that he will do much this year.

My source was Terry Nashif that Davies was looking great in summer work outs and was battling Miles and would definitely not redshirt and be ready to contribute right away. I guess you know more than Nashif because just based on what I saw last night, I think there's no way Davies is ready.

Speaking of Nashif he was at Hartnell College a week or so ago, checking out my brother in law as well as the older brother of Damarcus Harrison. WHo is actually playing at Hartnell because of my brother in law. My brother in law served his mission in South Carolina and served in their ward, he told his coach about the older Harrison boy and they offered him a schollie. He said he is a good little point guard.

I was basing everything I said on 4 high school games that I saw Davies in. I had no idea that Nashif said that...just every single time I saw Davies, he was extremely athletic but all of his points came because he was bigger and more athletic than the guys he was going against. He really had no moves and not really basketball developed.

If Davies does redshirt, then I guess I do know more about big guys than Nashif.
