I forgot how senior-heavy the conference was last year. No real arguments with the list. I'll make the homer pick that Jay Watkins will win the newcomer of the year.
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Definitely a rebuilding period for the Utes. It will be interesting to see how much progress is made by the end of the year. I don't ever recall seeing a preseason all conference team with no Utes on it before. Maybe it has happened, I just don't remember it.

One of the young kids who was expected to get big minutes at C has a sprained MCL, so that will thrust RM David Foster into the lineup to contribute more early.

I actually thought Carlon Brown would be on the list. I know Jay Drew and Lya Wodraska voted for him.

If Carlon can develop any kind of decent 15 foot jump shot, he would be absolutely fabulous. He did make some nice improvement from his freshman year to his soph year. With that said, he needs to be able to hit the outside shot so that people will guard him, otherwise, they will play off of him which makes his driving to the basket more difficult.
With all that said, I think Carlon will be a good 12-14 points per game this year.
