25 years is apparently too soon to have a rational discussion about the government actions after 9/11.

There are 363/364 other days in the year to have the political debate. Choosing 9/11 to make your political point and then acting offended when someone calls out the timing seems to be about right for you.

um, I did choose one of those other 364 days to post. I did it yesterday!

someone’s offended about my post that is strictly about government and nothing about the lives lost that day, but it ain’t me…

With there being 365/366 days in a year, and assuming 9/11 is one of those exceptions, what day is the other exception? Christmas maybe? Super Bowl Sunday?

Audio recordings from individuals to their family’s loved one on that day.

The 9/11 Menorial (an NYC must-see) has a room where those recordings are played. Kleenex boxes are conveniently place around the room, with good reason.

We didn’t go to the museum, but the memorial is sobering enough.

my residency sphere in Boston had plenty of NYC connections. I remember people trying to contact synagogues when they couldn’t even immediately connect with family there. Thankfully, I don’t think any of my colleagues lost family members. But it was a very tense couple of weeks there. I cannot imagine what it was like for those living there for that first year. And probably years after.
