  • I am watching CNBC, I am outraged

at Joe Wilson's outburst. I am learning that it comes from the republican mindset. It comes from republicans being against Obama because he is black. It is because republicans want America to fail while Obama is President. I learned it is repulsive the lack of respect there is for the office of the Presidency.

I didn't learn why it was OK for dems. and folks in the media to call Bush a liar. Maybe they will cover that tomorrow night.

If not, perhaps I can watch NBC, CBS, ABC or CNN and they will discuss why it is different.

Those saying that informed dissent from the right is unpatriotic are no better than those who said that informed dissent from the left was. However, you won't find a similar outburst during any of Bush's speeches. Wilson's was seriously bad form. Also, informed dissent seems quite rare in modern politics. Just enough knowledge to distort seems to be the norm.

I agree totally with anyone who says the guy lost it and what he did and when he did it was totally inappropriate. However, it is laughable the hypocricy that comes with saying it represents anything more.

Especially the high levels of shrill bluster aimed at Bush at all times. When Bush spoke it was like retards please step forward.

By the way, I laughed long and hard at your number 2 response in another thread. It still brings a to my face.

There is a time and a place for it, and not during a nationally televised speech before Congress. Wilson's outburst was downright heckling.

Yea and this is the last time I am going to agree with this, because I think agreeing with it twice in one thread is enough.

Chewing him out isn't the hypocricy. It is attributing all the other stuff going beyond the rudenss and inappropriate timing.
