If the Dems win I hope they outlaw fossil fuels and the vehicles that use them, coal, and all that sh*t. And that energy prices go through the roof so the entire country is paying 50 cents a kilo watt hour like California. Then my new solar system will pay for itself in less time.

While I agree, I'm more than a little worried about the short run. That's why I hope the GOP keeps the Senate. I don't think the Democrats are bluffing when they talk about expanding and packing the Supreme Court.

I'm torn between wanting Trump and the GOP to be crushed so that he goes away forever and the GOP rebuilds, and being concerned that a Dem landslide might be taken as a clear mandate to implement Dem policies from green new deal to court packing. When the reality is that it is much more a mandate that people are tired of Trump and want him to go away.

Americans have shown over and over in the past 50 years that they like divided government. They dont trust either side and figure that we should set the dogs on each other. Whatever sea change there is in our electors, it will just flip back the other way during the next election.

They ought to just start kicking ass, get the covid stuff out, fix our bullshit immigration system that has about 200 new administratively-placed monkey wrenches in it, and pass some bills. I am not concerned about the Supreme Court-- Clarence Thomas and Alito can ESAD, but until then we can ride with a conservative court.
