I think it's a gutsy move on the photographers part to push the envelope like that. Good for him.

I also noticed no pics of statues of naked people, so he's got that going for him.

I'm more cynical, I guess. I'm generally against giving kudos to someone for righting their own wrong. An apology would be nice, but all we get is a feeble explanation.

I will commend the artist for being so understanding and patient.

I'm glad they put it back up, but sad that "a miscommunication" required it to be taken down in the first place. So, I guess I'm supposed to conclude that someone ordered it removed without looking at it first? I don't think it's pushing the envelope all that much. Those photos show students and family/friends trying to do exactly what the LDS church wants them to - relying upon a network of support and refraining from homosexual activity. And yet it caused a controversy - enough so that someone had to consider whether or not to censor it.

Has anyone dropped by the HFAC to check it out? I will be up there in about 10 or so days, so hopefully the exhibit is still up. I would like to see it.

This behavior on the part of the school seems to contradict the "we love homosexuals, just not homosexual behavior" platitudes. Apparently, the school loves homosexuals, so long as they are not publicly admitting they are homosexual.

Funny how people/institutions can't admit mistakes. I guess it is bad for business.

I just glanced through the comments.....pedophile slippery slope argument, check. Token reference to loving but not tolerating homosexuals, check. God will never change His stance argument....check. The new "they want tolerance but are intolerant" argument....check.

Sounds like everything is status quo over at the HFAC.

Bad example. I saw Star Wars in the theater when it originally opened. There were no VCRs, let alone DVD players back then.

Is the gayness of a homosexual more visible in higher resolution?
