Just made additions to my bucket list. I have been to the museum in Memphis.

Really cool that you got to meet him.

Really lucky of you PAC and thanks for sharing. I wasn't big on the death penalty before being aware of his work. After his work, I realized the death penalty is a barbaric practice that no civilized society should ever tolerate. It is evil and exists only to satisfy blood lust. It needs to end.

          +1

I refused to volunteer/participate in the execution that went down at the prison when I was there. I still remember SGT Wilson yelling out, "Dead man walking!" As the inmate was escorted to the execution chamber just down the hall from my post that night.

I have never been big on the death penalty either although in certain cases it's harder for me to feel as much compassion as others. I wouldn't have lost too much sleep over Jodi Arias had she been sentenced to it. However, even in those cases there is another part of me that tells me it's still not right. And the proven fact that the number is not insignificant of those who have been executed over the years proven later to not have been guilty of the crime is apalling.

You mentioned us, and you didn’t bring back signed copies of his book?!? I’m a little offended right now!

What a cool idea for a trip. I may be stealing that.

I didn't know you were here in Atlanta this week! Had I known, I would have offered to buy you dinner last night!

Ha, wish I'd known you were here. We're heading to your place Thursday. Please change the sheets.

Two positions I hold that for some odd reason are diametrically opposed in today's political world: I am anti-abortion, and I am also anti-death penalty. Both cheapen life.
