    Sounds about right.

I know our beloved Trump won't ever drop out, but say in some magical land he does, is there any GOP politician visible enough to make a viable campaign against Biden that doesn't have the stank of Trump? Romney is too disliked by the base. Cruz has turned Trumpian. I just don't see a winner.

When he announced (again) that he was thinking about running for president, I thought it was just for publicity and that he would never go through with it. I don't think he has any real interest in performing the duties of the office, but he loves being president.

We also loves winning and has extreme self-confidence. Which is a big part of the reason I want him to lose (not withdraw), even if he makes up excuses for the loss. It won't humble him, it won't shut him up. But it would be great.

Still, if he really believes he's going to lose, I could see him declaring that the whole thing is rigged and walking away before the vote is held. In that case, I had in my mind that Pence would take over the ticket. Pence definitely Carrie's plenty of Trump taint, but I don't think he's as reviled as Trump by independent voters. But, he also wouldn't carry Trump's populist base nearly as well.

68% in this poll you cited are over age 50. I'm not sure that reflects a general election. Maybe it does in WI. Still seems way old to me.

I don't know... it looks like WI has a good amount of 50+'ers:

Pence! He is the savior of the republican party and will bring folks like PAC back into the fold.

But there is no hope for MBN... don't waste your prayers on him. He has sold his soul to the RINOs and the Dems.

I think you're jealous that MBN has a soul to sell.

I'm not sure Pence is the Messiah here. I don't like his early statements about gay rights, among other things, and he's covered with Trump stink (whenever I need a powerful emetic--not often, but still--I watch that early cabinet meeting where he and others fell all over themselves kissing Trump's gargantuan buttocks). I can conceive of voting for Pence, but I'd need a very large air sickness bag. Sadly, the odds of Trump bowing out are as unlikely as Mitt taking his place. . You'll be pleased to know I'm seriously considering Jo.

Yeah, pretty much. Trump isn't bowing out. In his mind he's winning and that's a good thing as he'll stick with it and lose bigly and mock the Dems and Mitt on his way out of the oval office. I am interested to read the letter he leaves on the desk for President Biden. That letter will be a page turner for sure.

So Joe does his first press conference in like three months... The Biden campaign gave him a list of which reporters to call on:

I am guessing he also had the answers to the questions written out for him as well. Just read what is on the teleprompter, Joe.

Edit: "Alex AP"? Maybe Joe meant to say, "Alex [Veiga?] from the associated press" but he just read it exactly how it was written.
