    No surprise here.
I loathe Nancy Pelosi so much.

Halleluja probably doesn't call him a mulatto because he's a quatroon or an octoroon or whatever.

Go read a little about race vs. ethnicity and then you'll understand what I mean.

The ethnicity selected for your ancestor in one of the censuses may not be completely reliable, however, because often the census takers did not ask about an individual's ethnic heritage. Instead, they put down an ethnicity based on what the person looked like.
Go look up ethnicity and race and then say what you have to say.

                Here, you read:

While ethnicity and race are related concepts, the concept of ethnicity is rooted more in the idea of social grouping, marked especially by shared nationality, tribal affiliation, shared genealogy/kinship and descent, religious identification, language use, or specific cultural and traditional origins, whereas race is rooted in the idea of a biological classification. In 1950, the UNESCO statement The Race Question, signed by internationally renowned scholars (including Ashley Montagu, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Gunnar Myrdal, Julian Huxley, etc.), suggested to "drop the term 'race' altogether and speak of 'ethnic groups'."

Now, try answering which race/ethnicity Obama is, given his mother is white and his father is black.

This article is fitting considering your attitudes on race seem to be stuck in the 50's.

Other than a person, how would you describe Obama's race (since you and wuap are more interested in semantics)? Since mulatto is outdated...... waiting for you to defend Frankie's post about the term mulatto.

What I've tried to suggest to you is that this question can only be answered, really, by Obama himself.

Fyi, mulatto has the same root as mule, and all terminology for mixed races is not considered polite anymore. I'll chalk this up to your not knowing rather than any antagonism on your part.

What is your fascination with Obama's race?

I'm more concerned with his politics.

holy crap dood. I'm far from a liberal, but I do work in the field of immigration law and I just have to say... these illegal aliens are the tax payinest group of people I've ever seen. Most of their tax records are impeccable-- albeit with a false social from time to time-- but impeccable nonetheless.
