I just watched the HBO special on Ted Kennedy. It was really interesting. I wonder what would have happened if would have run for president in 1976 instead of 1980.

Mitt Romney actually had some good things to say about Ted Kennedy. When he wanted to present a piece of legislation benefiting Mass to anyone in the Federal Congress while Romney was governor, it was Kennedy. Supposedly, John Kerry was a lazy ass who never did anything while Kennedy would bust his ass to get things done.
Maybe someone else can comment about 1976, Kennedy and Chapa....(however you spell it) and the mood of the country at that point. According to my dad, the country was sick of scandals and shenanigans (Watergate and Vietnam), so the country elected a total rube who was squeeky clean. Kennedy wasn't squeeky clean.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

As usual, Il Padrino can't make a reasoned argument or witticism to save his life. It's always this kind of thuggery. At least I'm not celebrating Teddy's cancer like the three of you brown shirts.Originally posted by JohnnyLingo View PostHe does? What part?
