By doing it "the right way," do you mean coming here in 1982 and finally becoming a citizen 27 years later?
The article simply stated that these people were finally made citizens. It doesn't go into any detail as to whether they arrived legally. In fact, given the dates involved, it is highly likely that the 2 people mentioned in the article (27 years and 9 years) were here illegally at some point.

I just have to ask how many of these do you have? I don't think I have seen the same one twice.Originally posted by DU Ute View Post"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I found this comment on the article particularly enlightening.
I'm surprised he/she only went with a dare. I would have dropped a double-dog dare.Comment by blabbermouth
A lot of illegals actually do pay taxes... because they operate on a stolen identity. Does that make it ok? I don't think so. Identity theft destroys lives... don't believe me? Give your info to any of the phishing scams in your email spam folder and you will see what I speak of. I dare you.
What would happen if you eliminated 40% of the LA workforce??? Gee, maybe those jobs could be filled by the millions of unemployed CITIZENS who are slowly sinking in todays world.
Before you talk about reality... try a dose of it first. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148...&comments=true

Did you bother reading the article? Talk about a knucklehead. Here's just one quote: Jennifer Bush watched her mom take the Oath of Citizenship after coming here from Samoa in 1982. She's frustrated.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBy doing it "the right way," do you mean coming here in 1982 and finally becoming a citizen 27 years later?

lol. knucklehead.
"There are laws for reasons, and we can't bend those laws to accommodate people who come over here illegally," she said.
"It's not putting your hand out and getting it for free because it's not free. All the Americans here work to put into the system. All I ask is that they go through the system like my mother did. Like we all did," Bush said.
And another: "One man from Nigeria says he understands why the U.S. has the immigration laws it does. "It's just to make the U.S. better, in terms of security and things, not trying to overcrowd the country and things like that. They are just doing what is best for the country," he said.
They were basically supporting the immigration laws versus guys like you who think that anyone that can sneak it becomes a citizen and we owe them free healthcare, education, etc. Does anyone wonder why California is in the mess it's in with people like DDD defending illegal behavior? Excuse me, they are undocumented aliens.

The article never states that they came here legally. Only that they now support the immigration laws that are in place. I could be misreading. Can you provide a quote that indicates that they came to the country legally?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

My mother was an 'illegal' from Canada for a long time. She was even deported once, but sneaked back into the country. She eventually became a citizen 'the right way' by marrying an American.

That's the beauty of it. This song has been covered by hundreds of artists, all I do is type Hallelujah into YouTube and I have plenty of options. Sometimes I even try to find a version that has some connection to the post.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostI just have to ask how many of these do you have?
