This guy really isn't from Utah, is he. Doesn't he know, if he really sees himself as "the conservative alternative" his ONLY shot was in the convention? And that isn't just a Utah thing - the general electorate tends to trend more to the middle/moderate. Ha! I haven't heard that name for years. In 2000 I was working for a statewide campaign and Cook was in the process of losing his seat to a primary challenge. At one of the county conventions he lost his shit on a female staff member of another campaign, a display of misogyny and public verbal violence like I'd never seen before. I'd always appreciated his independent approach to politics, but forever lost respect because of his behavior.
