        • So Moore gets elected...can the GOP leadership then remove him after an ethics investigation? That's what should happen. BTW, who told him it would be a good idea to ride to the polls on a horse that is obviously not well-trained when he is obviously not a good horseman? Hell, even Melissa Francis knew what he was doing wrong on the horse.

Part of me thinks that Jones refused to dial back on abortion on purpose so he would lose and put the GOP in the worst possible position. His answers to abortion questions, specifically that he isn't pro-life until a baby is born, were broadly interpreted to mean he would support abortions for late-term, mature babies for any reason. It wouldn't have taken a great deal of effort on his part to keep from looking so extreme on the issue. I think as a result, many of the hard-core evangelists were looking at this election as a moral choice between someone who would kill babies and someone who had an immoral past. I disagree with the logic, but I think that's why Moore kept the level of support he did.

I have to disagree on Jones and his abortion stance. I don't think any nuance would have mattered, short of him saying he is anti-abortion.

I guess the republican senators are already planning on meeting tomorrow, if he should win:

              • Moore is probably going to lose. There are a couple of rural counties he is winning but not by as much as he should be. Also, exit polling is showing very high turnout among the demos that tend to vote democrat.

That would be great. It would demonstrate having a spine when it comes to not bowing down to Trump on every issue. The wonderful Steve Bannon is going to participate in Moore's election party.

Of course, Moore is going to lose... Our boy, Ron Bishop, is going to take this.

NPR had a bunch of interviews with Alabamans this morning, including an old black man who has voted democrat his entire life. Even he had issues with Doug Jones.

                        • It is over... NYT just gave Jones a 90% chance of winning this. They should just call it now.

Yep I’m watching CNN and they are saying Doug Jones will win. No way that is fake news.

Yeah, Jones should win this. There are lots of votes not in yet in the big time dem counties including Dallas county. If that is like my dallas county it will be for the democrat.

Literally, Hannity said FAKE NEWS about 10 times in the 5 minutes I was watching.
