  • President Pence: Making America Greater Again

    Let's get this baby started.

President Pence will not be alone with any female interns in the Oval Office. A good start!

Move along, nothing to see here... just a Harvard Law Prof opining that the recent Flynn immunity request is not the first domino to fall:

Flynn’s Public Offer to Testify for Immunity Suggests He May Have Nothing to Say

The fact that Flynn and his lawyer have made his offer publicly suggests that he has nothing good to give the prosecutors (either because he cannot incriminate others or is unwilling to do so). If he had something good, Flynn and his lawyer would approach the prosecutors quietly, go through the proffer process in confidence, and reach a deal. Why? Because prosecutors have an interest in keeping their investigation secret, and Flynn’s lawyer knows that. The last thing Flynn’s lawyer would do if he thought he had the goods would be to go public, because that would potentially compromise the criminal inquiry and would certainly irritate the prosecutors, the very people Flynn’s lawyer would be trying to win over.

I suspect that Flynn’s lawyer is really targeting Congress. He is hoping that one of the Congressional committees will take the bait and grant him immunity in exchange for his testimony. If that happened, it would be extremely difficult to prosecute Flynn after he testified. Remember Oliver North? North testified to Congress under a grant of “use immunity,” and even though Independent Counsel Lawrence Walsh took stringent measures to wall off his prosecution staff from any information about North’s immunized testimony, the D.C. Circuit overturned North’s conviction, finding that Walsh could not establish that the witnesses who testified against North had not been tainted by exposure to North’s widely publicized testimony. Flynn’s lawyer appears to be hoping for the same result here: Flynn gets immunity, his testimony in Congress gets aired and reported everywhere, and it becomes virtually impossible for prosecutors to bring a case against him.

It is not going to work. The Justice Department will tell Congress that a grant of immunity at this stage could compromise its ongoing criminal investigation. Already, statements from the Congressional committees suggest no interest in granting immunity to Flynn. Flynn’s lawyer appears to have hoped that publicity, pressure or politics might cause one of the Congressional committees to jump. Flynn’s lawyer may have concluded that at a minimum the public offer would help change the atmospherics around his client, which could help him at a future stage. But the ploy feels desperate, indicating that Flynn may not have much to offer. And the very fact that Flynn’s lawyer is making a play for immunity at this stage suggests that he has some fear that his client faces real criminal exposure.
But HE'S SO WRONG! Flynn is gonna be the final straw that brings down President Trump and ushers in the new era of PRESIDENT PENCE!

    VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

        Ha. That's funny.

        Trump would never resign.

              Yes..... yes!

Trump didn't release tax returns. Why? Who's he beholden to? The Russians? The Chinese? The North Koreans? The Montenegrins?!! Trump will resign before he is forced to release the returns that will prove he is owned by any/all of these aforementioned foreign powers. Hello, President Pence!

Mar-a-Lago doesn't keep visitor logs. Why? Who's Trump meeting and for how long? What ungodly sums of illicit money in briefcases are transferred during these sleazy transactions? Trump will resign rather than disclose the criminals and drug dealers and oligarchs he meets there. Hello, President Pence!

I envision a sort of Nixon-esque departure, with a last-helicopter-out-of-Saigon plot twist. Instead of an emphatic double peace sign to America on the top step of Marine 1, EXPOTUS will be kicked in the nuts by Paul Ryan and thrown aboard by Jeb Bush.

How have all the other 2 term presidents gone out? That's what I'll prognosticate will happen, something very similar, probably more obnoxiously self branded though.

You're wrong. Pence is taking over mid-term after Trump is crushed by this Russia scandal. Serves Trump right for eating well-done steaks with ketchup.

President Pence will inherit a very antagonistic environment. For example, our "friends" in Canada accuse Pence of perpetuating rape culture for refusing to dine 1v1 with the ladies. This will not stand. I suspect that a President Pence's first priority will be to construct a wall on the US/Canadian border and make those hosers pay for it. America first! Canada last!

Is Mike Pence allowed to have conversations with women who aren't his wife? Of does he still need a minder for that.
