I knew there was a good reason that the Cowboys lost to the Packers... Damn you Jones for letting a cheesehead into the Cowboys box!

Dude, you're just a privileged rich white male who doesn't care about the working classes and the rights and lives of millions of people! You either simply don't know how utterly hurtful and hateful your words are, or even worse, you know but don't care about the literal anguish and pain you are causing as you side with evil.

That's a fair point, but I've already reconciled it. I heart Tom Brady.

I’d love to watch a football game with W.

I thought Ellen showed grace, compassion and common decency...all things that the twittersphere is devoid of.

I heard recently about a football coach that stopped recruiting or having any interest in about 15 prospective recruits because of their social media activity.

So I imagine that football programs probably highlight 40 to 50 kids they want to follow and then narrow it down from there. But to eliminated simply due to being an idiot on social media is not a good way to start.

I can confirm that the recruiting game is played out almost exclusively on social media. My daughter is only on instagram, but that is where 100% of her contacts with coaches have come from. First they follow her and she will follow back, then they will DM with some interest. If he shows them some love they will ask for a number to call and set up a time to talk.

Now that I think about it, I hope she is vetting those well. Sounds ripe for some creepy predator.

A new Hidden Brain episode today about Outrage Culture.
Turn on the news or look at Twitter, and it's likely you'll be bombarded by outrage. Many people have come to believe that the only way to spark change is to incite anger. This week on Hidden Brain, how outrage is hijacking our conversations, our communities, and our minds.

I agree, unless it’s a case of hermaphroditism or something.

And the reporter that dug up the tweet from Carson King is now under fire for past tweets:

    This mentality is so stupid.

For me it brings to mind the scripture from 2 Nephi 28:8

And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.
