Kid in our ward graduated last year and moved started a gofundme for his mission expenses. Wisdom teeth, clothes, and maybe monthly expenses. There is a ward mission fund, for those that can’t make payments, when ward drained will draw on stake and when stake can’t cover there is general missionary fund. Some wards donate to the stake others draw from stake. When stake has surplus goes to General mission fund.
most American wards probably have a surplus and General mission fund is operating on surplus. I don’t know how man6 people use gofundme for there missions.Comment
