There was an active shooter alert at UNLV that quickly spread. Notice of it being false was not spread quickly.
This highlights how the anti-gun people are and how they feed into copycat shootings. My theory is that if only first responders and those people on site were notified with no public media disclosure and certainly no name identification of the perpetrator, you'd see far less, if not all, follow ups eliminated. The media is wont to spread fear, but slow and reluctant to eliminate it.
