  • Town Hall meeting close to my house with Mike Crapo

He will be driving within 50 feet of my home and speaking not more than a few hundred yards from it in a townhall meeting Monday Night. Any good questions to ask him? I will probably go to that than head across the street to our first football practice of the year giving local HS some good advice.

Grapevine, ask him about b12 expansion and what he thinks of BYU's chances.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I would like to know if he had a difficult time growing up as a kid with a last name like "Crapo."

I met Mike a few times when I was a kid; I was best friends with his nephew, from the time I was 4 until the time they built a new house and moved when I was 11 or 12. The name wasn't much of an issue as far as I knew.

I don't know anything about Mike's current politics, but I knew his brother's family very well, and they were some of the best people I've known.

Grapevine, you can remove my question from the list of questions to ask Senator Crapo. I'm satiated by mtnbiker's response.

I wondered how Crapo's DUI would affect his political career but he seems to have weathered it well. I think most people feel a flawed Crapo is better than anybody else we could put in there.

Didn,t ask him big twelve question, he was at park when I got there and introduced himself. I shook his hand once before at Ricks College when I was a member of Republican club. Said dessert puddle government made it navigable because it will be someday, guy wondered why foreigners could buy American corporations and he was not against it but mentioned Americans going overseas.

Guy wondered why it was harder for farmers to pass farms on to kids. He was against government doing too much helping but relating environment to make success. My brother not happy about Oboma going around treaty power for executive order with Iran need 67 votes to filibuster. Mentioned letters and issues he gets too. How many right to him.
Started with expanding government and it is too big. Will go to all the incorporated cities he said.

He is a good Senator and is able to weather events such as that because he really keeps a low profile. He is not real interested in a great deal of attention so both successes and mistakes drift away leaving the inertia of him being a solid Republican to allow him to keep winning. I really like him.
