  • They're replacing Alexander Hamilton on $10 bill

I can understand putting a woman on one of the bills, but next to Lincoln and Washington, Hamilton is the last one they should replace.

People have discussed replacing Andrew Jackson on the $20, and I think that's a good idea. Why is Jackson there in the first place?

Hamilton had more of hand with the formation of our government and economy than any other founder. He was also an abolitionist and came from absolutely nothing to become the most brilliant founder.

Jackson forcibly removed Indian tribes from the southeast.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

This issue is almost as huge a deal as Nate Austin returning to play for BYU!

Holy crap, don't we have the Susan B. Anthony dollar? The ten dollar bill won't be enough either. Hillary will become President and then bitch that a woman is on a measly $10 bill. She will demand her mug on at least a $100, maybe the $500.

Whose face is on the $1,000. My vote would be Bruce Katlyn Jenner.

Exactly what I told my wife this morning. Don't replace Hamilton. The guy was a genius and one of our greatest founding fathers. Replace that knucklehead Jackson. Grrr...

I was trying to get my hands on a bunch last month to use as graduation gifts. The folks at WalMart had very few and they claimed they were going out of circulation. In the end I had to go with mostly two 5's. I am pretty sure this is part of the master plan to keep womenfolk oppressed by promising one of their likeness on the Ten $ bill and then to take it out of circulation.

Harriet Tubman is the best candidate, but they'll give it to a white woman and then give the 20 to MLK.

The question I have is with a woman on it will it really be worth $10 or just $7.80?

The tradition of putting people on money is kinda weird. As best as I can divine, it started with a ruler minting coins for the realm, the remind his subjects it was HIS money after all. Next, we morph it into an exercise of honoring dead people.

If we want to signify reliance and dependability, why don't use geographical features or constellations? I realize some of those items are already there. The constant bickering about who should be honored may never end.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
