So is there any legal reason for the republican senators to submit their questions to the prosecutor?

No. I am not sure any of the senators are submitting questions. The prosecutor is doing her own questioning. And she is not doing it very well.

Ford is either incredibly brave and Kavanaugh a serial rapist or she's a lying saboteur depending which way you lean politically. I hate to admit that I was sucked in by all this the last couple of days but I'm ready to check out and mute or block everyone.

She is a professional prosecutor and doing a good job winning her trust. She has a problem with men and the lack of doors. The republican senators are being sensitive to this obviously emotionally disturbed woman.

This seems it to come down to the testimony of Mark Judge, the only other person in the room according to Dr. Ford.

Winning her trust? TO what end? We will see if she is setting anything up, but I don't get the feeling that is where this is going. Moreover, given the format, getting five minutes and then turning back to the democrats, makes it very difficult to build a rhythm and to set up a witness.

Not only is Kavanaugh a serial rapist that never got caught in 37+ years, he is an alcoholic that somehow made it through college in flying colors and was appointed a federal judge. Someone that is that good of a liar should be on the supreme court automatically. He is super human!

But she is going abo]ilut this like she might if she had unlimited time and cold set up a pattern. But that is not going to happen with this format. SHe should have set up smnall modules of questions that buod to a pay off in five minutes. Maybe she will get there soon, but her questioning so far is of no value to either side.

I also think it is an odd choice to pick a prosecutor as opposed to a defense lawyer. Prosecutors typically represent the vicitm's interest

Yeah, but of course she has been coached up by her attorneys. They wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't. Regardless, I still think she presents well and seems credible. There just doesn't seem to be any corroborative evidence.

Judiciary committee rules allow subpoenas to be authorized by the Chair or the committee majority.
