"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

But Flake may have less to lose than Collins and Murkowski, given that he’s retiring from the Senate and frequently criticizes the president. He revealed that someone threatened to have his family “taken out” over his insistence that Ford be given a hearing on Thursday, which he said was viewed by that person as “interrupting our president.”

I assume this is someone who thinks he is helping Kavanaugh. The SOL long ago expired and I’m sure he is testifying on the condition anonymity. I predict his confession will be: “I use to drink a lot when I was younger. I don’t remember exactly what happened, but I do recall being at a party with Dr Ford and wanting to hook up with her. I was so wasted, man. The rest is kind of a blur”

Ha. Dr. Ford now has evidence that her attempted rape actually happened. “We believe survivors! We believe survivors! We believe survivors!...”

Vinneccy, a 63-year-old registered Democrat, told Politico that he has additional evidence that could disprove Swetnick’s allegations against Kavanaugh. But he said he is holding out until he speaks to a lawyer.

“I have a lot of facts, evidence, that what she’s saying is not true at all,” he told the news outlet. “I would rather speak to my attorney first before saying more.”

Yeah, this beyond Jerry Springer... maybe they should put all these people on Anderson Cooper 360.

The dems should try to vet their gang rape victims better before going to all the trouble writing up and signing a big, long memo that makes themselves look like a bunch of dumbasses.

The owner of a Washington, D.C. restaurant where Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife were heckled by a group of protesters earlier this week, said staffers have received “life-threatening” messages in the wake of the incident.

“Personally, I am blessed to work with the staff who have handled the harassment and life-threatening messages we and our families have received in the wake of the event,” Fabio Trabocchi, the owner, said in a statement on Wednesday posted to Twitter. “They have shown remarkable grit and calm, It is scary to hear anger directed at you and those you love -- I am lucky to work with brave people who respect our work.”

Cruz and his wife were dining at Fiola on Monday when a group appeared to chastise the Senator over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who is facing multiple sexual assault allegations. Two one-minute video clips were posted to the Twitter page of a group called “Smash Racism DC,” where protesters could be heard chanting, “We believe survivors!”

An activist shouted can be hear shouting “Sexist, racist, anti-gay!” while a woman quizzed the Texas GOP senator whether he believes the women making the allegations against Kavanaugh. The federal judge has denied all allegations made against him.

The couple was escorted out of the restaurant through a side entrance, before being brought back in later through the kitchen after to enjoy the rest of their meal, according to the statement.

That was a great opening statement by Grassley. Feinstein chooses to simply praise the victim's education as if that somehow matters here.

                        • Is there any other reason besides optics to have the prosecutor ask questions for the republican senators? Because if not, it looks pathetic.

                          • Ford makes a decent appearance. It feels like she is telling the truth. The prosecutor being used by the republicans is not impressive to me. This is theater and the democrats are professional actors on a stage while the republican prosecutor looks like somebody from the audience who is filling in for a regular.
                            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

So is there any legal reason for the republican senators to submit their questions to the prosecutor?

She is a professional prosecutor and doing a good job winning her trust. She has a problem with men and the lack of doors. The republican senators are being sensitive to this obviously emotionally disturbed woman.

This seems it to come down to the testimony of Mark Judge, the only other person in the room according to Dr. Ford.
