Does that stall or prevent a vote on the Senate floor?

It is nice to have one person from Utah that we can be proud of at the federal level. The rest are an embarrassment.

Pretty sure the 11-11 tie was expected and it will not prevent her from continuing forward. There are at least 2 republican votes now. This is a done deal.

Funny thing is that she is one of the more moderate nominees in recent years and polls show that a majority of Americans like her.

I don't belong to his party, but I have more respect for Mitt Romney than just about any other Senator in the country. I wish it weren't so rare that politicians put conscience over party.

She was endorsed by Judge Thomas Griffith for goodness sake. If she was the extremist that people are trying to paint her as, he would not have endorsed her.

I don't have a strong opinion on him, but he is absolutely 100% a conservative judge. I really liked his remarks and he pointed out other conservative judges that are supporting her.

                    KBJ confirmed.

Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, etc. beg voters to return a republican majority so that they can block all appointments in the next two years.

So...you know how people keep saying that unless they screw it up the Republican Party has a shot to take the majority in the Senate and House during these midterm elections?

Republicans - this is one way you can screw it up. Assure everyone you're just going to be obstructionists and don't really have anything else you stand for.

Republicans figured out that one party cares more about the Supreme Court than the other. This will not hurt them on net.

The damage is done. She's already let them out. You're being groomed and you don't even know it.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This kind of polarization crap is getting ridiculous. Yes, both parties engage in it to one extent or another but it's getting worse. I can't believe the majority of Americans like their legislators to keep acting like immature brats.

Politico is reporting that the Supreme Court is about to completely overturn R v Wade.
