I'm just happy the Democrats didn't nominate someone with a nazi tattoo. Progress!

He actually said this four years ago talking about his state legislature campaign in a slam dunk dem district. He's not saying the fringe stuff anymore. We'll see if he can overcome some of the weird comments from 4-6 years ago.

Paxton vs Talarico race in Texas will be interesting to watch. Talarico cracks me up. Wears a mask everywhere and does stuff like this:

Yeah, anyone politicizing this right now is a ghoul.

The cuts to NOAA and the National Weather Service have impacted me and many people I know. But that had nothing to do with this tragedy. The forecast system was still in place and the forecasts were reasonably accurate. The problem was how rapidly it happened, the time of day, and the remoteness of many of the campsites, etc. Getting the word out to everyone on the ground is a local problem and sometimes you just get a horrible combination of circumstances.

It’s a real tragedy. Three people at my work have been impacted through distant relatives. One guy that works for me has a brother in law whose niece’s body hasn’t been found yet.

Yeah, I don't really trust Paxton and voted against him the last time he was on the ballot.
